After a few sessions, our group is having a good time and our characters are figuring out how to work together effectively. Dice don't always cooperate, but if you can have fun anyway that's a very good sign. Riley does a great job reining us in when we need it and keeping things moving, but by and large there's a healthy willingness to move forward with just about any fool idea a character comes up with... if we are willing to live with the consequences.
Rynar was very welcoming even before I joined the game, and helped point me to some good sources for creating my character. On an afternoon when we just happened to both be available, he gave me a tour of the virtual tabletop and outlined the game story so far, then spent almost an hour helping me sort out my character’s back-story. As a result, when I came aboard in the next session, I was almost as confident as my character. 2d20 systems are new for me, but Rynar has a friendly and collaborative group going, and I felt right at home.
