Nikki is an excellent DM who is very patient with helping a cRPG player transition into actual play TTRPG. She does an excellent job of embracing rule of cool, with several moments of "you couldn't normally do this, but it would be cool if you did, so here's a difficult check if you want to try". I had a lot of fun and I look forward to joining a table again!

I've been tabletop-adjacent for decades now, playing video games based on d20 systems and spending a lot of time RPing on forums, but this is my first time actually getting into a TTRPG table. Ben made our session 0 really informative, going over the red/yellow/green card concept and other accommodations, then rolling into an overview of the core concepts and the setting (Vampire the Masquerade) to consider for character creation. Then the table workshopped character concepts together before closing with a round of a Jackbox game as a bit of an icebreaker/get-to-know-you. I entered session 0 with zero knowledge of the VtM world or its systems. I left session 0 with a basic understanding of the core and the resources I'd need to dive deeper into the lore if I so desired. Solely under Ben's tutelage and direction, though, I feel confident that I can create a character capable of telling a story I want to tell while I continue to learn both general tabletop roleplaying skills and the specifics of the VtM systems
