The most knowledgeable DM I've ever played with. Currently playing a "hyper-lethal" survival game set in Exandria with 2024 ruleset (2014 and 3rd party content allowed). There was a disclaimer about character death, and I'm currently on my second character. That's to say, every decision feels meaningful and the tension is palpable. He's also very flexible with rulings and always comes prepared. It's a fun time.

I enjoy playing game sessions with DM Scratch. Currently playing Icewind Dale with 2014 rules on Foundry. He's great with voices, tone, background music, Foundry, shenanigans, story, and rules - everything. He takes time to incorporate every player's backstory into the campaign and give us meaningful experiences. Whether its a social encounter, exploration, or combat, he does a great job. I trust him to DM for me because he's earned that trust from everyone in our campaign. Good guy & good games!

I played Dungeons of Drakkenheim "with a focus on exploration, interaction, and combat" with Nox. He is knowledgeable, level-headed, open to player freedom, and good at keeping track of a complex narrative. He's got great voice acting, works weekly to improve the game on Foundry, helps new players to the Foundry VTT, and is passionate about the game. He also worked with me on my character when some of the mechanics did not work out the way I intended. However, I found he was slow to react to player disruptive behavior (attacking neutral NPCs when players were not given what was demanded, players engaging in actions that they knew above table would result in Total Party Kills, players leaving party behind for solo exploration). I really did enjoy the first 20 sessions, but after that the disruptive players' inattentiveness and behavior had accumulated enough that they couldn't keep the plot straight so they started derailing the narrative. Safety tools provided were inadequate when above table discussion failed, and could use an X/O card system. I rate him at 3/5 if you are joining as a solo player and/or looking for a safe cooperative play experience. If you're looking for a freedom/sandbox style experience and/or you join as a group with friends, I rate him at 5/5.
