About me

Hello storyteller, GM and potential friend! It's nice to meet you. My name is Ellie (she/her) and I am from Israel (timezone GMT+3). I've been roleplaying since 2017 and playing DND since 2021. I am an extremely passionate player (and GM too! But that's another story). I have so many characters who are rather unique and quirky and I adore DND and the storytelling potential in its mechanics and rich worlds like Exandria. As a player, like I said, I am extremely passionate and grateful for my GMs' efforts. I create epic characters with emotional backstories and open-ended hooks that I love seeing come into play. I'm not always the best at it but I do character voices/tones/accents, commission art of my characters, make music playlists for them, etc. I have crazy (in the good way!) ideas and I love roleplaying with the GM's npcs, interacting with the world, and if playing in a canon world like Exandria I mentioned - then I also admire getting in deep and personal with the lore. When you GM to me, expect a reliable player that puts a lot of effort (in the good way too!) into what she does. I put my whole heart, soul, brain and being into my games and I'd like nothing more but to meet a kindred spirit with a similar mindset. For a GM, I would love to see someone reliable with backbone, both being assertive, confident and dominant but also integrating requests and things I'd like to see, and see our ideas pan out in their own interesting ways with twists and turns as they wish to add. I like GM's that do a mix of planning and improvisation. I love seeing the story pan out in emotional ways, going along with crazy and heart-wrenching, cinematic scenes. I like someone who does good voices and places complex and meaningful NPCs that I can interact with. I'm looking for a GM that can run me a multiple characters solo campaign in the setting of Exandria (one player, one GM). I'd love to see another GM that is a Critter (= a Critical Role fan - preferably someone who watched all the episodes, so we can fangirl/fanboy/fanperson about it!)with a passion for the show and for stories like me. The structure of the campaign would be multiple characters' arcs lasting 4-6 sessions that are part of the overall game world, and while personal, still important to the lore and the setting. I love to see GMs integrating lore from source books and interpreting them in their own unique ways. Mechanically, I like balanced games that allow creative use of my characters' abilities. I like using Rule of Cool as well. For combat, I like challenging fights, but not deadly - at least not all the time. I'm not into random deaths in random encounters that don't have anything to do with the character's past, present or future. I love fateful decisions and large-scale stories that involve Gods or Artifacts and ideally would like to try out a higher level campaign (levels 7-10 maybe). I have a crazy large scale idea for an Exandria campaign that will probably, hopefully be fun for both of us! As quite a sensitive person myself, I want my games to feel inclusive and safe. Communication is key with me. since I am autistic, I may not always realize if/when I do something wrong or hurt someone. And since I am not a mind reader, and can't always tell what others are thinking and feeling, I do need others to communicate to me what they feel and if I do something wrong. I will stop what I'm doing, apologize immediately and we will think of a practical solution for us to solve this and for me to make up for what I did. I have a clear list of lines and veils, themes I am alright with and themes that I am not, and if you want I can gladly send it to you before we start.
