Bipolar

I think the question posed by the website is loaded, and will answer this in a more balanced way. Bipolar's games are generally on the pricey side, and often come with the caveat that you pay for a month's worth of games at a time. This may not be something you know before becoming interested in his playstyle, or merely hearing from word of mouth, but it is important to know. That said, the price is absolutely worth it. The sheer amount of detail and prep he puts into his games is staggering, and his pre-game.. game, is as sharp as any I've seen in my 20+ years of both playing and DMing on my own time. Bipolar is what I would classify as "business casual", in that he gives you the rules, the layout, the mechanics, and the expectations up front and sticks to them, but he is neither a rules lawyer or a grammar nazi. He keeps the party on track and loads their plates with humor, world building, narrative, and Rule of Cool at every opportunity. He has built a community of players dedicated to his style, which says more than I ever could to his credibility as a DM. I've been a part of that community for years now, and haven't felt like any one part of it is ever toxic or unfriendly. As for the games I've invested in that he has led - and yes there have been many - I can say personally that I've enjoyed each experience. He tries to cater to each player's unique style while keeping the party as a collective. Not all personalities mesh well, but Bipolar does a fantastic job of finding ways for everyone to have fun playing the same game. I cannot recommend his content enough. Perhaps my favorite was delving into Japanese mythology in new ways with his own personal spin to characters. I do hope to join one of those campaigns again one day. To summarize, Bipolar is a prodigious Dungeon Master with a wealth of game knowledge and an amazing mind, creating homebrew fantasy worlds to lose yourself in, as well as refreshing old canon content to make it more modern and bring back the spark of some of those old modules. If you are looking for an adventure and have the time and money to spare every week, I couldn't recommend a better DM.
