About me

I've always been a nerd. But being hooked on dnd is another thing completely. I've been playing and dming for years. Started on westmarches, my friend's campaign, and so on. One thing that I noticed early on. Was people preferring rp over combat. SACRILEGE!. YOU SHOULD HAVE BOTH. I love designing and running combat encounters where your rp during it should be just as impactful as optimisation. And have the monsters react to it. I say go for it. Cast your Haste on the bbeg and pretend to join their dark side, only to stop concentrating on it and have yo bois destroy it while it's lethargic. Eventually, I got so hooked that even while at work, I was thinking of statblocks and how would my PCs deal with a Molten Magma Roper that's lashing about, paired up with a Druid of the Old Ways that keeps putting up Wall of Fire. What sort of terrain would this battle take place on? What are the stakes? Is an NPC that my players love betraying them ?Are the PCs going to use the Ring of Fire Resistance that they bought few sessions ago ? Lastly, my goal is to connect with various kind of people and facilitat story telling. I want my pcs to have fun and work together to tell cool stories about interesting characters. All

GM Style

People say that dnd is hard...it really isn't. Just roll a d20 and we'll take it from there. I enjoy running dynamic combat encounters that are relevant to the pcs backstories, and in which they can feel like their choices aswell as their resources can make an impact every round. Fast paced turns that are relevant to their story and allow the pcs to contribute via role play or optimisation...or both I've always believed that the most character development you can experience is when you're pushed to the limits, when you have to deal with various situations with relevant stakes. And then finally, after throwing everything from the kitchen sink....Success Overcoming and succeeding in a creative and interesting manner. That's fun. Very often, I meet new players that feel slightly concerned because they don't know the rules, yet they still want to have cool, powerful and interesting characters. Not knowing the rules actually helps you make cool characters because you're not confined by them. Mechanics ? That's what I'm here for. And if something doesn't quite fit your vision. We can always change and adjust it for you. All these sort of scenarios are the kind of things we can experience together. So if you like RPing during combat like your life depends on it, stakes that progress character story, and shenanigans that still work RAW. We should play. Rule of cool is ....cool, and we use it. But having everything work without me as the dm giving you the green light is more enjoyable
