About me

Hey there! My name is Shane, and I’m a professional dungeon master. Storytelling is in my blood, and D&D and the many tabletops out there allow me to explore the many worlds that float around in my head. I’ve spent a lot of time diving into different worlds and systems that have helped me find what’s best for me. I believe that the way I run games encourages and helps players open up and be able to find ample opportunities to engage and interact with the worlds that they play in. GM Style

I am a dungeon master that loves roleplay in all of its aspects; I love interacting with players and listening to players interact with each other. One of my favorite things about Dungeons & Dragons is creating and acting out unique and interesting characters. I use a wide variety of voices in my game to give my NPCs an extra level of depth and make them memorable. I always put a lot of effort into my NPCs, from fleshing out their backgrounds, to thinking critically in the moment on how they respond to you and the world. Immersion is important to me. I want you to feel like you are truly a part of the world we are playing in. I use various different maps and music to accomplish this and set the scene for your adventure. While sitting and enjoying drinks in an inn, some pleasant tavern music can really set the stage and make everyone feel more relaxed and immersed in the experience. You can expect that I will utilize the rule of cool. If someone comes up with an awesome idea, I will do my best to ensure that their plan can be successful. Dungeons & Dragons at its core is about having fun and I love rewarding players for out of the box thinking and using their ingenuity to come up with fun and creative solutions for problems. Last but not least, you can expect me to be humorous. My humor is reflected in the way that I run my games; I am a very silly person and I love to joke around and make people laugh. I always include a few NPCs that tend to be goofy, and some completely ridiculous, but in the end their goal is to make everyone have a fun and memorable experience that not only your characters will love, but you as the players as well.
