About me

Hi, I'm Xanth, lifelong gamer and geek. I have been playing games and roleplaying since the nineties, and have been GMing intermittently for most of that time. Recently looking at a change in career (I was a H&S manager) and I can now carve out time to do what I love, make stories. And for me the story is first and foremost, I love to give players agency. Whether you decide you want to defeat the undead horde by building an alliance of nations, sneak into the heart of the shadow realm and take the threat out at the source, or just carve out a new home for the refugees to escape to, I'm here to build a world and then let you shape it. I'll be invested in the story and that's how I'll keep you invested in the story. I am Trans, Neurodivergent, and trauma informed. So I run games to feel good about the world, and that aim to bring the light shining through the darkness. I strive to ensure everyone feels safe at my table, so if something is troubling you, reach out to me and we can fix it.

GM Style

I am nothing if not adaptable. As I have said, for me the story is first and foremost. I will work with you to tell tales and create campaigns, if you want to go in a specific direction then tell me and we will adapt. I will usually start a campaign with something pre-written until I have a feel for the group, at which point it will become more and more bespoke. While I might run technical or difficult combats and stretch your creativity, I'll never actually set you up to fail (at least without giving you IC warnings or getting your OOC consent), and I'll be forgiving if you make a mistake or are still learning the system.
