About me

Hey, I'm Declan (he/him). I've been roleplaying since 1982. However my online roleplay really started with lockdown. I regularly run games at UK conventions. If you've been to any of the Sheffield gaming cons (Furnace, North Star, Revelation etc), or various national ones Contingency, Continuum, Dragonmeet or UK Games Expo I may have GMed for you. I was also a regular GM at the now defunct IndieCon and AmberCon conventions. Whatever the audience I try to make my games as welcoming and inclusive as I can. I also fully appreciate that I'm far from perfect. I look at some of the fresh ideas newer younger GMs bring to the hobby and I'm often in awe, but at the same time sometimes I see them try things I know just aren’t going to work (because I tried them before). I'll try to give you the smoothest possible game, to make my PCs as entertaining as possible, and to set vivid scenes you'll remember. At the same time I'm not here to tell my story. I'm here to facilitate you telling your story, so I know when to shut up and let you strut your stuff. Like all GMs I'm still learning, trying out new things and appreciate any feedback - especially if its constructive.

GM Style

I favour narrative and roleplay heavy games.. most of the time, but that doesnt mean I dont also play the odd Hack and Slash game. I regularly run Hack-n-Slash Dungeon Crawls for my son and his friends. I'll try to match my style to your needs.. but theres a caveat. I cant match my offering to your needs unless you tell me what you want.
