Hiya! I'm Vannah! I first discovered Dungeons & Dragons in 2018 while working as a camp counsellor at a theatre camp. When our usual DM became unavailable for the last few days of D&D camp, I volunteered to step in despite having absolutely no experience with tabletop RPGs. I knew very little about the rules or lore, but I had a great time making up stories and adventures with the kids. The experience sparked an interest in several of the other counsellors as well, and soon we started our own game with the primary D&D counsellor as our DM. I started looking online for groups, expanding my experience by playing with more and more people across many different campaigns. Eventually, I found my way back to the DM's chair and discovered just how much I love being behind the screen. My theatre background most likely has something to do with it. I love storytelling, creating characters, and watching players bring their own ideas to life. For me, the best part of D&D is the collaborative storytelling. I can build a world and throw problems at you, but I never know exactly where those prompts might lead or what they might come to mean to the people around me. I'm proudly autistic, and D&D is absolutely one of my special interests. I always love to chat about the game, get excited about all its little details, and work together to build something special for everyone at the table. Creating a welcoming and inclusive table is very important to me. My games are LGBTQIA+ friendly, and I expect everyone at the table to treat one another with kindness and respect. D&D is at its best when everyone feels comfortable contributing, being themselves, and having a good time. I'm looking forward to sharing some adventures, making some questionable decisions, and hopefully creating a few stories worth remembering along the way.
