About me
A DM of 8 years with plenty of experience on both sides of the DM screen. I want to create stories with my players, weaving the tales they wish to tell into my own, with plenty of homebrew to smooth the journey.
GM Style
I am primarily a Roleplay DM. Entire sessions can consist of chatting between players and NPCS without the inkling of a sword being drawn. That being said, I'm a fiend for immersive combat, and abide strictly by the rule of cool. My monsters feel challenging regardless of your level of strength as a player. Certainly don't have the strongest character voice, but I'm always keen on doing funky voices, and always try to make all of my NPCS feel unique.

A written review is not enough to detail the praises I have for Phoenix as a GM. His games are a highlight for my group every session. If you are looking for a GM who is great at weaving a riveting story together with dozens of unique and individual characters (Each with their own voice), creating terrifying homebrew creatures and allowing players to defeat said monsters in spectacular fashion, and providing fantastic moments in and out of the game. Then you have found the right GM.
I simply can't gush enough about this DM extraordinaire! Our epic adventures have spanned years, and every moment has been an absolute delight. Our fearless Dungeon Master possesses an uncanny knack for spinning narratives so enchanting that I find myself hanging on every word. The NPCs in this world are in a league of their own, so extraordinary that I anticipate regaling tales of them well into my golden years. I can already envision myself reminiscing about Gorb's antics when I'm a wrinkled old soul, possibly even to the point where I half-expect to spot him lurking in the shadows during my geriatric days. In short, if you're on the hunt for a DM who crafts stories like a wizard conjuring spells and who creates NPCs more memorable than the most iconic of legends, look no further. This DM is the real deal, and I wholeheartedly recommend their gaming mastery to anyone seeking an unforgettable D&D experience.
This man. He is a great DM. Amazing. My words cannot do his games justice but let’s go. I was a longtime fantasy nerd, I started off new to ttrpgs and had a great introduction to the game with this DM in a very inclusive environment. Everyone in our group ended up having pretty different playstyles and expectations from our session, and there was a great balance provided by the DM to satisfy everyone’s gameplay needs at the table (casual, loremongers, optimizers alike). We’d all leave the session happily invested in the story we were telling together. The DM worked with the players to establish a good vibe for the table and to tell our character’s stories and his own. Roleplay is a big focus throughout our sessions, and good rp between fellow PC’s will earn you extra inspiration to motivate you to do more and get everyone interacting. The storytelling had a lot of thought put into it and is done VERY well (in my humble opinion), has a great flow, pulling me in with the depth put into all the world, mysteries and conflicts of the setting. Every environment has it’s own narrative music to accompany it and I found it easy to be immersed within pretty much every scene. The DM has a deep understanding of 5e rules, and if there’s any dispute of a ruling, rule of cool will win out. Thinking outside the box had been highly encouraged and rewarded in my experience! The DM’s combat always felt challenging for our level, but balanced for our party. Some neat nifty homebrew monsters and fight mechanics are mixed up so all kinds of characters can do something cool. PC death had always been on the table, making things spicy and giving combat some actual stakes. Homebrew, so long as approved by DM, everywhere. Feels great. Overall, really fun games. Great stories, great storytelling, memorable moments, DM loves to get players involved. Love this guy. Would recommend.
Our DM is accepting and engaging. He lets us all have our moments and the ability to shine in the spotlight. Exceedingly knowledgeable about the worlds and rules of Dungeons and Dragons, but he is also open to new interpretations and loves to add flavor with his players. He is also keen on giving out inspiration when things go awesome.
