About Tycho
I've always been a writer, someone who loves creating and telling stories. I began creating imaginary worlds as a child and basically never stopped. As far as my real life goes, I'm an English teacher with a degree in creative writing who loves his family, climbing mountains and drinking beer. As for DND, I've been playing/dming for roughly 18 years mostly in person but also online in the form of roll20. I took a few lengthy breaks due to having a family and other commitments, but I inevitably end up coming back. In concrete terms, I've spent around 12 years as a player and 6 years as a DM. My roleplaying philosophy is that this is the ultimate form of collective story and world building. The only difference between the DM and the players is that the DM has far more 'creative control' which is why I was always drawn to it over just playing. That being said, people play for different reasons, and its always been fascinating to me how real people often with completely different personalities will react to and change your world. I'm particularly interested in creating my own unique worlds and systems. As far as my style, my priorities are ensuring everyone is having fun and has a reason to be invested. I like my games to be fair but challenging, and unafraid of touching adult themes (within reason). I typically run DnD 5e, 2e, Pathfinder, Stars Without Number, Shadowrun and my homebrew stuff. I run long campaigns with seasonal 'arcs', like a TV show. If any of that sounds like what your interested in, please hit me up.
