About me
I have been playing TTRPGs off and on for a lot of my life, and have been a GM or DM or Judge since I started. I am a big believer in working with my players to develop and drive the narrative, and then working as an impartial arbiter when making rulings. I love theatre of the mind (playing without maps and minis), improvisation and letting the players explore all the options for problem solving they can come up with. I have written a few stories and modules for my game groups, and would love to work with you and your friends to build and explore a new world.
GM Style
I enjoy player driven narrative and cooperative story development, as well as doing role play and voices if the scene calls for it. “Theatre of the mind” play is my preferred game style for several reasons including it has a low barrier of entry for new players and encourages everyone at the table to be invested in play. I am always interested in learning new games and systems, so if you want to try something out I would love to learn it with you.

Rule of Cool
Tom’s creativity and adaptability are top-notch. He’s great at rolling with the punches and making it feel like every wild idea was part of the plan all along. He’s also incredibly skilled at balancing the chaos with helpful guidance when we need it. Whether we’re lost in a maze (both literally and metaphorically) or need a little nudge to keep the story moving, Tom always knows how to steer us back on track without railroading the experience. And let’s not forget his storytelling chops. Tom’s worlds feel alive, his NPCs have depth and personality, and his ability to weave our antics into the overarching narrative is nothing short of masterful. He’s patient, enthusiastic, and genuinely seems to enjoy whatever madness we cook up. If you’re looking for a DM who can handle a group that keeps things unpredictable (but needs a steady hand every now and then), Tom is exactly who you want behind the screen.
I appreciate how Tom keeps stories and encounters moving along while allowing for player creativity. I've joined a few of his sessions under two different systems and both were easy to understand and fun. He does a great job interjecting world building at appropriate amounts to understand the world and the broader context of decisions, but it never feels too heavy. He keeps the pacing and focus on fun, which I appreciate.
