About Roar
I am a professional entertainer and experienced GM from Norway. But dont let that think I am less than fluent in English :) After a 20 year hiatus from RPGs, I decided to get back into it again in 2017. Now I GM 2 weekly campaigns for international friends, but I am always looking to meet new people and players, and having fun at the same time doesnt hurt :) For me, RPG's and DM'ing is about having fun with the players. I always ensure that my players are having a good time. Yes, I run a tight ship rule-wise, but I will always air on the side of the players if in doubt. I am looking to run official oneshots in D&D 5e, using discord and Foundry VTT.

How Roar runs games
Roleplaying style: I do heavy narration and dialogue. I attempt to give every character the players meet a personality. I like to keep the big picture in mind, and thus small things can lead to big reveals. Combat style: While trying to keep it not too tactical, I let players shine and use their abilities. World building: The scenery around the players is important for me, to set the mood for both the area and the players. Dungeon building: I prefer to run a mix of puzzles, traps, encounters (potentially friendly and hostile). Rule of cool vs. Rule of law: I go by the motto "Fun>Story>Rules". I reward creative use of spells and abilities, and combos between players are encouraged. Published or homebrew: Published works have been vetted and playtested, and thus are easier to incorporate and relate to for players. Adult and R-rated content: Yes. But I will always respect the boundaries of my players.
