About me

Hello, I am Hoots, or Justin, either one fits as that is generally what I go by. Ive been playing DnD for close to eight years now, with DMing attempted in groups while I was originally in college back when I played 3.5/Pathfinder. Ive moved away and now want to attempt my hand with DnD5e, especially after having some great experiences in the campaigns of a few others. I am a massive fan of heavy investment in characters and roleplay, as that is something I can carry over from my older days of DMing, but will admit to being rather new at DMing 5e rules and systems. I look forward to being able to help players craft stories and to make this hobby of mine something I can enjoy even more than before. I hope to be able to give players something they can connect to, and I look forward to the many different stories my players will create.

GM Style

As I stated in my about me, I am a sucker for characters and roleplay, and will try to ensure that no player is left out on that. Having more to work with certainly will help in this process but I am very used to working things through for players from my old campaigns. As far as combat and rules go, I am a bit more by the rules when it comes to 5e. This is more due to the fact that I am not as familiar with the system, and want to ease into more flexible options, but I am never against someone asking and wanting to try something unique. Just let me know, and give me time to look into it, and I will try to help out my players with such things. Other than that, my main thing as a GM is to ensure you are enjoying your time. Combat and Roleplay are my main priorities, with puzzles done less often, as those I am weaker on.
