"There is no such thing as a random encounter!" ~ The Tactical DM My name is John Larson and I am a published adventure writer, beta reader, peer editor, play tester, and prolific consumer of TTRPG content with more than 40 years experience as a player and game master. My in-person and virtual DM credentials include running charity one-shots, convention games, instructional games for beginners, as well as several long-standing campaigns (my home group includes players I have been gaming with for over 30 years). The TTRPG industry is experiencing a renaissance and I am excited to be a part of shaping the game for the next generation of players. I look forward to gaming with you.

GM Style

I am a retired Army Intelligence professional, and throughout my 30 year career, I have served in or visited more than 40 countries on 5 continents. I leverage my military experiences and exposure to different cultures and environments to add a sense of realism to fantasy encounters. My DM philosophy is "collaboration over competition" and in my games, every player has a voice and a direct role in shaping the adventure - your participation and input are key ingredients to each successful session.
