About Ris
TTRPG gaming appealed to me from the first moment I was introduced to it because of its co-operative storytelling and its enabling of one's imagination while still keeping things within a structure. I've been a game master for almost as long as I've been playing and it has been a fantastic experience. As someone who isn't as easily socially connected, it was liberating to take on different personas, be different people, and learn more about myself and others along the way. As for me, I am a forty-something who is office bound by day and soaring through fantasy and scifi worlds by night.

I got started GMing...
The TTRPG group I was in believed that everyone had a story to tell. It wasn't a matter of "if" but "when" they would sit at the head of the table and run a game. I found that liberating and enjoyed my turns behind the GM screen.
How Ris runs games
My games tend to focus on the characters, their interactions, their personalities and how they work together with those around them. They tend to be well structured while attempting to be open just enough for players to have their moments. Fortune does not favour me with high dice rolls, so I can't guarantee difficult combats all the time, but combat, just like every other aspect of the game should be meaningful, and I try to bring that in.
