About me

I am a collaborative Dungeon Master with more than ten years of experience who enjoys creating immersive settings with players and/or adding unique spins on written adventures. I prefer to run games with large amounts of player agency in high fantasy world and a good amount of improvisation. My experience started with DREAD and a dice adaptation of that game; then over into D&D 5e, D&D BECMI, and Shadowdark RPG. I also run the simplified Sword & Backpack system, Tunnel Goons, and sometimes Kids on Bikes. Happy to play whatever makes everyone happy to play.

GM Style

Balanced between roleplaying and combat, largely using theater-of-the-mind. Games may be based in published written adventures or homemade settings depending on player preference, but will always emphasize character decisions and improvisation based on those decisions. Games are character-driven, settings are complex often with multiple paths to explore, and player characters are expected to decide how the story is going to proceed. I prefer frequent and aggressive level-ups and, depending upon the system and the events that have taken place, players may level up multiple times in a single session, maximizing character potential!
