About Tanner V.
I'm a big fan of TTRPGs, and I'm really trying to play more of them! I've kinda become the forever DM of my friend group and while I'm happy to run games I'm more familiar with, I'd also like to try out games that I keep hearing great things about.

How Tanner V. runs games
First off, my games are not AI-friendly, so do not join one if you plan to use scraped and stolen art or backstories. Thank you. I endeavour to GM games that create a world around my players. I aim to be their biggest fans, so I'll make sure they encounter all manner of obstacles that can both challenge their characters on a personal level and give them the chance to show off their unique capabilities. While I always enter a campaign with a framework of story ideas in mind, I will easily and eagerly twist them so that they overlap with the characters' personal stories and goals. I like to focus on peaks and valleys of action and downtime. Fights should be dramatic, flashy, and purposeful, and in my opinion they stand out more when sandwiched between moments of calm that allow the players to see how their characters interact on a more personal level - whether such scenes result in dramatic revelations, wacky hijinx, or devolve into more action is fully in the players' hands. Finally, I love to bring the melodrama. TTRPGs thrive on heightened emotions and tangled character interactions, and I work alongside my players to create a safe way for their actions to reverberate through the setting. I work my hardest to make the world completely open with plenty of paths to follow, but pursuing one goal doesn't mean the others stay on hold. I pride myself on creating dynamic, realistic worlds that the player characters can both fit into easily and, should they try hard enough, shake the foundations of.
