About me
β’β¨ Free Session Zero β’ποΈ Campaign-specific discord server β’πΌ Tailored and thematic background music β’π§π½ Vast character options using my books via D&D Beyond β’π¨ Virtual maps with dynamic lighting and sounds as you interract with the world β’πΈπΌ Fun and fleshed out NPCs β’π Challenging and satisfying combats Players will be given access to the "Player's Handbook", "Tasha's Cauldron of Everything" and "Xanathar's guide to Everything" via D&D Beyond. These will give player's various character options they can use to create characters if they haven't got access to these books themselves. There will also be additional character backgrounds available from the Ghosts of Saltmarsh. Having GM'd for the last 5 years, I believe I have honed my skills in running fun and challenging D&D sessions. At my table, I like to put an emphasis on co-operative storytelling using a character-first methodology. Whether it be running a 5e published campaign or building an one-shot adventure from scratch, players at my table will feel as though their backstory and their actions have an impact on the world around them. I love working with players to surprise and entertain everyone else at the table. The aim for my games is to be a safe haven for all and so naturally, hate or toxic behaviour in all its forms will not be tolerated. Available for private game requests.
GM Style
I aim to run Adventures that feel like they're part of a living world - where the decisions and actions of the players have a lasting impact and can influence those they interact with. This extends to how I prefer to treat every pillar of running a TTRPG session. My NPCs often have wacky character voices while trying to make them more than just surface level. Exploration in my games can be rewarding with lots of secrets to be found across the map. I aim to provide encounters which don't always have to end in a combat but when they do, I like to add little details for players to exploit. Players at my session find that I'm willing to bounce ideas off of them. I like to work with my players to figure out ways we can prioritise fun and collaborate on the story we are all telling as a group. Don't like downtime sessions? We can handle all that between sessions privately. Want to discuss how to tie in your character's backstory into the campaign plot? We can go back and forth on how to do exactly that while still leaving room for the odd surprise during our sessions. I'm a strong proponent of a Session 0, believing they can lay the foundations of a great campaign and allows each player to familiarise themselves with the rest of the party. During this, we will set expectations, establish lines/veils and figure out the priorities of the players so I know what to include in each session.
