About me

Hi! My name is Scythia, I am a pro GM with decades of tabletop and writing experience. My trade is science (researching AI/ML), but I have a diverse set of interests that inform my storytelling; from philosophy, world history, and mathematics to homelabs, pixel art, and dancing. My games tend to explore long timescales, political maneuvering, and magic systems while retaining focus on individual characters and their choices. Everyone deserves to be a hero sometimes! GM style

A mixed style of roleplay and combat focusing on believable and massive casts of NPC characters in diverse settings. I love exploring the weird and wild possibilities of human experience by creating and exploring vibrant cultures based on the true variety present in world history. In combat I love designing multiple approaches to solve encounters, using terrain effects, and allowing players maximum tactical freedom. While I use lethal danger sparingly, I tend to create graded levels of success and will not hesitate to punish hubris. If you like managing your resources carefully and feeling your character push past their limits my combat style will resonate with you.
