About me
Freelance Illustrator + Big Nerd. Media greatly effects my GMing, some of my favorite works are: Books/Movies: • The Locked Tomb by Tamsyn Muir • The Black Company by Glen Cook • The Stormlight Archive / Cosmere books in general • Bone by Jeff Smith • Alien • Blade Runner Games: • Soulsborne series • the Witcher • Zelda • Signalis I predominantly run PF2E, and am currently working on conversions of popular 5e adventures to that system. I also do a fair bit of homebrew and gamedesign in my spare time!
GM Style
I really enjoy roleplay and storytelling over all else, but I am pretty decent at dice math and tactics. I generally don't love to run large painful combats which is why I moved to Pathfinder 2e, as the variable action economy can allow for a lot more roleplaying in combat than a system like D&D5e (at least in my experience). Generally, I like to explore my players' characters and see what they want to do, as I feel that everyone loves these games a lot more when they can share a story about what happened afterwards!

I've played a multi-year long campaign with this gm, as well as a number of one shots and mini-campaigns, and had a great time throughout. He prepares well, he improvises well, and he collaborates well. His original settings are deeply thought out, and he's also proficient at running official modules. Very solid gm, strongly recommend.

Shem is a very experienced DM with lots of game knowledge on multiple different systems. They were willing to even learn a system (Exalted) that I wanted to play with some people despite not having played it before. We were unable to really put the time in to learn it but Shem was able to guide us through. We also pivoted into a different campaign in which Shem developed a rich world and provided us with an enjoyable time.
Fumble
Does a great job making real lived worlds with fun NPCs. Is willing include creative player solutions and oddball interactions. Enemies are played in an engaging way with tactics, motivations, and resolve.
