About Schism Navigator
Creativity, inclusiveness and fun are the cornerstones of my style as a professional game master. Everyone is welcome to add something to the story and not a session goes by without something unexpected happening. If you want to do something different, perhaps a little silly, and definitely fun then check out my games. I almost exclusively run original campaigns that allow for a lot of collaborative storytelling and exploration in all directions. https://linktr.ee/schismnavigator

I got started GMing...
As a game developer I picked up TTRPGs as a break from video games and ended up running games I could not find open sessions for.

Pathfinder, Savage Worlds, Eclipse Phase
How Schism Navigator runs games
🔰 Relaxed 🔰 My tables are relaxed, friendly and light-hearted. I believe that people have the most fun when they are not pressured into roleplaying a certain way or given criticism for forgetting rules. That is not to say there is no structure, but the structure adapts to the group’s overall playstyle and dynamics. 📹 Audiovisual 📹 Music, special effects and really cool maps are one of the things I provide with the help of FoundryVTT and some amazing artists I support on Patreon. I try to balance between the presentation and the imagination, giving everyone something to enjoy and enhance the experience. 📓 Safety 📓 I check in with people, use safety tools like lines and veils and x cards and check in between major story events. Being queer myself I value a table that is friendly, open, and welcoming to all.

Rules are...
a guide for everyone, not set in stone.
I once ran a session...
on too much "Romulan ale" and could not write notes properly. I learned to never drink and GM again.
When it comes to voices
my philosophy is to keep the personality/tone as distinct as possible. Each character should feel like they have their own "voice" and not merely an accent.
Schism Navigator's ideal table
My tables are relaxed and welcoming. With often a little silliness or different amounts of discussion in the dead air. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the story and often will help each other out on specific rules etc. Everyone is expected to be respectful and are encouraged to be aware of not hogging the spotlight.

I am for a vibe that's...
like just any other game with a group of friends.
I think it's a red flag when players...
start telling others how to play. If people want help that's one thing, but don't start trying to tell others how to play.
I love it when a player
comes up with a novel solution, even if it does derail the entire story and set us in a different direction.
