Jamie has been DM'ing a West Marches style D&D 5E campaign for my party for about a year and a half now, and it has completely changed me as a player. She is an incredible world builder, and the campaign has been filled to the brim with story hooks both large and small that have truly changed and shaped the fantasy setting around our actions and choices. She is generous with unique magical items and challenging with foes and puzzles, which adds a whole new element to character customization, where both the things you find and the things you experience set the trajectory for your character's growth and abilities. My Wizard has ended up completely different from what I planned, for the better, and it's because of the story that my friends and I are all writing together in the world Jamie has provided! However, world-building and game mechanics aside, the reason I would recommend Jamie as a DM above all others is her inclusivity in NPC crafting and narration. Playing with her and being a part of her creation has been horizon broadening, and that's how she's changed me most. She has completely challenged and shattered really implicit biases I carried, revealing to me exactly what things I considered 'normal', even in a fictitious world of sword and sorcery. She tells amazing stories that simultaneously introduce her players to a panoply of colors, genders and lifestyles in healthy ways, and that's so much different from the typical Fantasy Role Playing worlds I've both experienced... and admittedly built myself. Everything about Jamie's DM'ing style pops. It's vibrant and colorful, and what you suspect might be the most mundane interaction with a barkeep NPC might end up being an experience that will totally make your night. She's incredible at improvisational play, and the big looming stuff too. She's the best GM I've ever had the pleasure to play with, and If I were a betting man, I'd wager she would be yours too.

Jamie is an excellent DM who specializes in both planning and improvisation, making for excellent storytelling. She is very in tune with the direction her players go in and strives to collaborate to find what everyone is looking for in a session. She excels at both interpreting the source material, as well as her own homebrew. Furthermore, she can balance both a combat heavy style or a role play intensive game and can make a game that will enjoyable for players of any skill level.
