About me

I’m a forty something year old husband and blessed father of two girls. Yes, I do glorious battle with monsters under the bed, dirty diapers, dinner, and the dreaded bedtime. Professionally I have a background in psychology and strive to help strengthen families. Playing in a RPG is certainly a healthy retreat to escape and de-stress in my opinion. I started as a DM experience twenty years ago with a quick one shot that I threw together on graph paper while using M&Ms as player and monster tokens. This turned into a weekly campaign that lasted three years and a home brewed world that is enriched by each player at the table. What I enjoy about being a DM is getting together with a group and having fun while the story unfolds. If you can roll a twenty sided die, then you can play D&D and other RPGs. I enjoy working with newer players learn the system and have fun.

GM Style

At the table I like to create an atmosphere of collaboration and cooperation between each player. I listen to each player and tailor the story as needed. This includes making a powerful stronghold, being a famous bard, track down a powerful magical item, etc. At the end of the day, we get together to laugh, roll dice, and have some fun. My overall style can best be described as multilayered. I enjoy blending role playing, tactical combat, riddles, and I play to the PCs strengths. After all there is no reason why you can’t role play during combat. Gaming online now using a virtual tabletop and tactical maps really help make an overall immersive experience. Finally, I believe one of my best strengths is the ability to have productive conversations and take feedback. Each group is different and what works for some may not work for others. Thank you for choosing me for all your D&D needs, and let’s Roll Initiative.
