About me

Hey there, I'm Rogus, the creator of a small living world named Ambria. I'm a big fan of Homebrew and Dungeons & Dragons, and I've been hooked since 2019. After a few setbacks trying to play as a player, I decided to embrace my ambition and become a Dungeon Master, which is something I've always wanted to do. I currently run a thrilling game for a party, and I'm excited about expanding to host more games. My goal is to share the excitement of the game and unite people for a great time immersed in the spirit of the game.

GM Style

I absolutely love role-playing and getting into epic battles with a real story behind them. It could be fighting the person who destroyed your character's village or taking on a traitor—whatever it is, I think there should always be a good reason behind the fight. I try to make the backstories really come to life in the game and add in more role-playing moments. I also try to do some voice acting, although I'm not great at it. I make sure to incorporate the players' backstories into the game and enjoy creating lore for the game world and sharing it with the players. Plus, if you had a character in my campaign, its actions would impact the other campaigns I'm going to run. Having maps ready and using visual stuff like tokens and art for NPCs and monsters really amps up the game and makes it more interactive. I also want to make sure everyone gets involved. If a player has been quiet or inactive for a while, I'll have an NPC approach them or have animals call for their attention to get them back in the game.
