About me
Unique worlds. Unconventional settings and interesting concepts, roleplaying sessions with a little bit of combat, challenging puzzles and objectives for the experienced players to immerse themselves within the Gameworld, with elements of realism and absurdity alike. Originally, I didn't like TTRPG's. I found them boring and non-games, having no graphics or game mechanics. That is, until I came upon their depictions in the media. The freedom peaked my interest, and so about 5 years ago I begun searching about what has now become one of my favorite hobbies, with several years under my belt with around about 20-30 unique players, both as a player and DM, with 2, long form campaigns lasting about a year, and a few shorter games and one-shots. One of my best qualities is my adaptability. Something may be great for one party, but hated by another, or maybe one player is not enjoying certain aspects of the campaign. So long as they are honest and open about it, I'll more often than not adapt to that. My favorite aspect about the game is the game design, the creation of challenging and overall fun and creative problems for the players to solve. I have very little restrictions to what resources players have access to, such as species, classes, etc., so long it does not obstruct the game for those on the table. I dislike the DMing style of banning flying species or stronger than average features for the sake of it, so expect a very small pool of limitations. Creativity is key! PS: I don't like Mystics. If you want to play one, I expect a few STRONG counterpoints to my reasoning.
GM Style
As a DM, I often set easy to understand scenes that the players can interact with, most often than not describing enough to get the point across as a minimum, or -in the event of a more complex mental image- I take my time in explaining a vivid picture. Good, in-character roleplay in line with the setting, character knowledge, and intentions is sought out and often rewarded. Additionally, I make use of minimalistic grid maps when it comes to combat, enjoying the tactical aspect, and often reward it. I have a love for the problem solving involved with difficult yet unique puzzles, but also the number crunching of challenging combat encounters, with varying goals. Initiative doesn't have to end in bloodshed, and fighting monsters or enemies will almost always hold a unique environmental twist. I also do not shy away from player access to homebrew content, provided the table is okay with that. Certain monsters may have altered stat sheets, and there will certainly be a thing or two of my own devising in my sessions, -friendly, neutral, as well as aggressive- to keep everyone on their toes!
