About me

I've been playing D&D, Pathfinder, and other TTRPGs since the early 2000's, and would have started earlier if I'd known games like this existed prior! I started playing computer games, and building computers from the age of 7, and have worked as an IT professional for at least a decade. I started as a Dungeon Master with 3rd Edition D&D and the love of the hobby has grown exponentially! I started an actual play podcast for Pathfinder 2nd Edition with their Abomination Vaults Adventure Path called Devil's Elves and Dice, and simultaneously formed Death Dreams Studio. As of March 2022, I've been digging into the Avatar Legends RPG, The One Ring, and Blades in the Dark RPGs and have started producing the Random Roles Podcast - a show that features various TTRPGs, modules, one-shots and homebrew ideas. Currently running Ruins of Azlant, Rise of the Runelords, and a PF2E conversion of the classic D&D3E Age of Worms campaign, Star Wars FFG Homebrew and my own campaign called Castlerake. I'm more than happy to start any other PF2E campaign OR work with you and your friends to come up with an adventure CATERED to what you want to play!

GM style

I've had my phases of GMing styles, and think I've found a sweet spot between them all, that works for all of my current tables and players. I try my best to "read the room" and hit all of my players interests with a flow that catches the narrative and moves it forward. I do enjoy tense combats, but not every combat needs to be so. I tend to enjoy light to medium RP and sharing fun narrative moments with the table. I play by the rules until the rules don't work for the story. The rule of fun is number one! Add some consequences or variability to any situation and it can make for even more unique story beats or narrative. Personally, I'm light-hearted, easy-going, and just want to have as much fun around the table with my players as possible. I love doing voices (terribly), giving the chance for PCs to make tough choices and their players agency in the narrative, bringing highlights of their backstories to the foreground, and watching my players find the light at the end of challenging encounters.
