About me

I've been into roleplaying games for decades, starting in high school with a very homebrewed text-to-play forum that had absolutely zero game mechanics and finally culminating in learning about and joining a long-term D&D 5e group in 2018--the core members of which are still gaming together to this day. My passion as both player and GM is The Story, whether that be the overarching story of a campaign, a well-made character backstory, or recollections of moments in past campaigns where PC interactions turned the best-laid plans of the GM on their heads. While I am more familiar with the mechanics of D&D 5e, I have been branching out to learn different systems recently in an effort to make my newest homebrew setting work in multiple game systems.

GM Style

While I personally enjoy roleplay above combat, I do make sure to include opportunities for both. My voice acting may not be the best you've encountered, but I definitely try my best to give every NPC their own unique feel. When I begin a campaign, I like to set expectations for my players both by sharing my plans for how I'd like the campaign to begin but also by asking my players what they would like to see, given the style of game I'm hosting. I am currently working on building a steampunk/clockpunk setting that will have space for D&D, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu and hopefully other game systems. I do *not* have an estimate for when that will be ready.
