About me
I've been doing this for a long time(25+ years), and adore collaborative storytelling in various fanciful settings. Never have stuck to just one system. I like to play them all, and run most. I'm here to share that love, tell memorable stories, and meet fellow enthusiasts to have as much fun as possible! I collect TTRPGs, and have a myriad of systems at my disposal and always looking to get more when I can. I'm a cast member/showrunner for Knights of the Smith Dinner Table. Outside of TTRPGs, I'm a fan of trying new restaurants or recipes, spending time with my kids (teaching them the wonders of TTRPGs of course), hunting through used bookstores or thrift shops, and figuring out where the next 40 years are going to go.
GM Style
I think of myself as adaptable to the group consensus of what style of game we're playing. I love a good roleplay session, and if the dice don't need to come out then they don't. Tactical combat is a lot of fun, and I always have tactics in mind for every encounter, be it an animal's instinct or a team that has practiced their tactics. I try with voices, but don't expect Mel Blanc.

Mike ran a really fun Monster of the Week One Shot. He is very patient and good at explaining the rules without it interfering with the narrative. He also has a good sense of humor and can improvise on the fly. Play felt very natural and like a good entertainer, he left us wanting more. I would definitely play one of his games again.
Mike hosted a great one-shot, and took us through character creation and straight into the middle of the mystery. He kept the narrative flowing, the story moving with interesting NPCs, and did a fantastic keeper role with everyone engaged. Made learning a new system a fun and entertaining time, and definitely worth playing with. Highly recommended.
Mike is a fun DM. He lets you explore and be creative with how you handle situations. I highly recommend him. While the Monster of the Week game was mostly theater of the mind he did include some very helpful visuals. This was a great introduction of the system for me having not played.
