About me
Hello! My name is Raizen and have been playing role-playing games for a really, really... really long time. My journey into being a virtual storyteller, however, began at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Looking for a way to stay connected to other people while quarantined I decided to start running my own virtual games. Now that things have finally cooled down a little I've found that I really have a knack for it and now I want to do it for as many people as I can.
GM Style
While I have played in and run all sorts of tabletop games recently the World of Darkness setting has become my favorite place to do so. I enjoy exploring mature subjects (in a tasteful manner) and I believe this systems allows for that in an interesting way. The vampire is a metaphor that has been explored for ages and I'm here to do my part in adding to the mythos. My particular style of storytelling trends more to the personal horror aspect, but I certainly embrace the political angle as well. I believe I have succeeded as a storyteller when my players can interact with each other in character for 10 or more minutes without my input. I am looking to fully immerse my players in the world I have built. As for combat, my world's tend to be reactive. A character looking for fights will certainly find one sooner or later. Meanwhile a social butterfly can avoid these sordid events if they play their cards right.

As a storyteller, Raizen is very open to player autonomy and lets them feel like they have agency in the story. He's very knowledgeable about the rules of Vampire: The Masquerade and it was a pleasure to play the game.

ST Raizen is dedicated and methodical Story Teller with a fantastic grasp of what motivates NPCs. He is also a flexible story teller that can roll with unexpected player actions and then weave those consequences into the broader narrative of the story. While he does a run a mature game, it more about tone, and style then it about content. ST Raizen is not afraid to lean on some of the darker themes in his games. But those dark themes are handles with care, and tact and is aware of his players feeling at the table. ST Raizen also is known to reward players for great roleplaying, outside the box thinking, and keen observations. If you play an ST Raizen game, expect rich characters, moody settings, and complex themes woven through the narrative.

Raizen is passionate about his games and values player engagement. As a GM, he is excellent at world building and mood painting, using colorful descriptions and plot hooks to keep players engaged. He's the kind of DM who values proactive players, and he may seem difficult to communicate with in the beginning but is actually a very chill person. To summarize, the more care you put into your character and the story, the more rewarding Raizen games are to play.
