About me

My first introduction to DnD was in college where I was a player in a couple of sessions of a game before it fizzled out. I enjoyed those sessions as a player a lot but a couple years would pass until in 2019 I went and bought the Essential Kit to play with a few of my friends from school. I instantly fell in love with running the game. Since then I have ran a couple different yearlong campaigns for different friend groups as well as a number of high level short arcs. Introducing new players to the game has been one of my favorite things to do since learning to running the game whether it be for friends or even introducing my family to the game. If you are a player in my game you have the benefit of the shared compendium content of DnDBeyond for character creation from the following books: Player’s Handbook Volo’s Guide to Monsters Xanathar’s Guide to Everything Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide Mythic Odysseys of Theros Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons I play on Roll20 for VTT with Discord to supplement for audio.

GM style

One of the most important things for me when running a game is for the internal logic of the world to be consistent. People have motivations for what they want in life and NPCs in the world should as well. Of all the pillars of DnD my favorite is tactical combat. Other humanoids can also be intelligent, beasts are hungry but not suicidal, oozes want to absorb their next meal. Not all encounters have to end up with combat, but if it does and we are going to play it out, we will be sure to make it engaging.
