How pardydardy runs games

heavy roleplay, light combat, and even lighter combat rules. the math doesn't matter as much to me as the description you give when you punch a guy through four layers of drywall, if that gives you an idea! i make a note to sit down with my players to discuss the broad strokes of their character's involvement in the campaign. by giving me an idea of what you're looking to achieve, i can provide you with some fun story hooks and scenarios that'll be more fun to engage with than if i was heading in blind. when it comes to World of Darkness, it'd a mixed bag. i prefer a lot of pre-V5 worldbuilding, but after picking up Deviant: The Renegades recently, i've come to appreciate a lot of the newer mechanics. depending on the game i'm hosting, i'll be sure to communicate clearly whether we're playing homebrew or not (and in most cases, it'll be to circumvent old WoD's combat, haha). i prefer to run my games light, using Discord for communication and Roll20 for dice rolling and the occasional battlemap. it prep time and costs down for me, and thus, costs down for you! additionally, i like to keep my campaigns on the shorter side (~10 sessions). but, if the vibe is right and folks wanna keep going, i have no issue with continuing a campaign further, even after the main story has resolved!
