About me

Whether in the Weird West, the jungles of Takta Ker, the Seattle Metroplex, or the Sword Coast, I've been involved with games for several decades. I'm a firm believer that the systems exist to facilitate roleplaying, not replace it, but that doesn't make the occasional dungeon crawl or death trap run any less fun. I run games for everyone, whether you've never tried roleplaying or are a lifelong veteran. The only thing I require from players is respect for everyone in the game.

GM Style

How I run depends on the game and the group. Roleplay is encouraged, but the system (whichever one I happen to be running) will still decide anything where success is uncertain. I try to make character voices unique within the setting. Combat will happen when called for, but it may be multiple sessions between combats in a longer campaign. My settings are often homemade, as are my adventures.

Ch'toweven

Ran with him for many years. Very collaborative games, lot of thought and effort put into world, setting, and plot. Knows his shit, cares for his crew.

Matthew avatar

Matthew

Seamlessly integrated our shenanigans with his plans. Us players never knew we were half a continent away from the original plot train, but it all felt well-prepared anyway.

James avatar

James

A GM who preps for fun so is always prepared for whatever shenanigans you throw at them no matter what

Whitney avatar

Whitney

Patient with new people and people who don't have the rules down yet. Does his best to keep from saying/doing things that harm people. Dropped Drow before it was cool. (Evil pitch-black spider lady and her followers? Sounds like Gyg*xian racism...) Good with rule of cool and homebrew to an extent and if something you try is bad you can let him know and he will probably let/help you fix it so you have fun.

Andrew did a great job of making the world feel as real as you cared to interact with. Ever wonder why the menu at the inn had so many pickled offerings? Ask around and there's probably a reason. He will likely have multiple plans for a narrative but if the group decides they want to do something on a whim, he can usually pull something interesting and engaging out of the hat. Would recommend.
