About me

Hey everyone, you can call me Nioret. I started DMing during lockdown and fell in love with it. The collaborative storytelling process of DnD is what I'm here for, and being able to provide a fun experience for everyone at my table is what drives my passion.

GM Style

My GM style flexes a bit according to the campaign I am GMing for. I think what makes the game come alive is roleplay, and I love doing voices for my players. What I think is important is not the quality of the roleplay, but the intent and earnest attempt to channel your character. People can fill the rest within their own imagination. I also enjoy using maps, as theatre of the mind leaves alot of unanswered questions. Map creation is a hobby of mine, and I also love to show off the works of others. Combat wise, as someone with a game design background, I try to create encounters that require more thinking than "throw damage at it until it dies". Positioning, attack types, using your character's skills, and thinking out-of-the-box are encouraged in these encounters.
