About me

I've been a Game Master for five years and have been DM for two years. I'm incredibly passionate about Dungeons and Dragons and the experiences and opportunities it offers. I have a degree from the University of Washington in Education, Learning, and Societies and a master's degree in Filmmaking from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts; a combination that helps me excel in storytelling and guiding new players through the wonderful world of Dungeons and Dragons.

GM Style

I like to take a balanced approach to DMing these sessions, doing my best to bring players the three main elements of D&D: combat, roleplaying, and exploring. While we may not get all three in one session, I do my best to inject those elements throughout the campaign. I like to put player enjoyment and cooperative storytelling over "word-for-word" rulings. It's not that I don't respect the rules (was a bit of a "rules lawyer" in my player days), I just really value the player's agency and lean towards the rule of cool when it's appropriate.
