About Mythrin
Hello everyone! I have been a Game Master of D&D 5e for 7 years and I have developed an expertise in creating homebrew campaigns that keep players coming back for years! I always prioritize the enjoyment of my players and work hard to create a narrative which always keeps things interesting. I have access to all DnD books to make it as easy as possible for you to create any character you wish. For my long term campaigns I often make homebrew legendary gear for my players which enhances whatever character they are playing. Some of my homebrew work can be found on my patreon! Keep an eye out for my drop in campaigns if you want to check me out and get a feel for my GM style. I became a GM because
I love to tell stories. I love monsters and making them. I love the wide range of creative outlets it provides.
I got started GMing...
after I listened to a bunch of NADDPOD which naturally led me to watch Critical Role. I was so inspired by the stories they told, and the impact they had on me that I wanted to try my hand at it.
My favorite books are
Dungeon Crawler Carl, the Locked Tomb series, Eragon: the Inheritance Cycle.

Exposure to certain patterns or backgrounds on a computer screen, or while playing video games, may induce an epileptic seizure in these individuals. Certain conditions may induce previously undetected epileptic symptoms even in persons who have no history of prior seizures or epilepsy. If you, or anyone in your family, have an epileptic condition, consult your physician prior to playing. If you experience any of the following symptoms while playing -- dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitches, loss of awareness, disorientation, any involuntary movement, or convulsions -- IMMEDIATELY discontinue use and consult your physician before resuming play. I deal with rules issues by...
leaning in to rule of cool if there is no RAW.
I prep by
finding battle maps to inspire me. Write out the scenario that will lead to these battle maps and brainstorm what will happen next.
When it comes to voices
I do my best but I don't have the greatest range. I can't do an Australian, Scottish, German, or French accent to save my life.
Mythrin's ideal table
I like combat a lot. The strategy, the crunchiness. So my sessions will often have some sort of combat encounter. I also enjoy good roleplay with interesting and fleshed out characters and will often engage my players through NPC's. So players that know the mechanics well and love telling their characters and the parties story will fit very well at my table. New players are welcome as well as I love to teach the game to people and I know the rules very well.

I am for a vibe that's...
relaxed and dedicated to telling a good story with a healthy mix of humor but, not afraid to embrace the tension that naturally occurs in some scenarios.
I love it when a player
Commits to a character decision even if they know it will result in a not so ideal outcome. I reward those moments with inspiration every time.
I think it's a red flag when players...
force the spotlight on them every chance they get. Let the spotlight shift around naturally and respect everyone else's time at the table. TTRPG's are a team based game and the story is about the group, not a single character.
