I've had the pleasure of playing with Scott for over a year and a half, and I'm consistently impressed by his exceptional hosting skills and dedication to the game. As a GM, Scott is engaging, inclusive and incredibly knowledgeable about DnD rules. He effortlessly welcomes players of all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced members, and integrates them seamlessly into the game. Where do I even begin? Scott is an amazing GM. He is extremely creative and puts so much thought into each and every game. But not only is he incredible at story building, he is fantastic at improvising. Some GMs will try to force their players into a direction, while Scott allows them to do what they wish while still leading them to encapsulating plots. There is so much behind-the-scenes work that when things go awry (as they do with every good roleplaying game, let’s be honest here), it feels as though that was his plan all along. I mentioned earlier that he is a story builder, but this is a great understatement. To say that he merely “builds” stories doesn’t even begin to account for his work. GMing is an artform and Scott knows it. He lives and breathes storytelling. He doesn’t just tell stories, he forges them, he paves them out of gold. Don’t get me wrong, his games are gritty and hearty - you’re not just slaying dragons and getting loot. There’s SUBSTANCE, a real “realness” of the whole thing, even as you’re in situations that could never ever happen. His games have soul, and you can feel Scott’s passion oozing from the every corner of the world you’re exploring.

Scott is a fantastic game master who combines great story telling talent with system mastery. His ability with scene framing, pacing and spotlight sharing are excellent. Expect exciting sessions with extensive player involvement without any railroads. After all, we play to see what happens!

Scott is intensely interested in unpacking why a game has systems and how we can have fun with and/or within those systems. He’s also good at including player imaginations in a session zero and as we build the world together.

A true master of his craft. I've played many different systems and campaigns with him over the years and the creativity encouraged in any given session really makes the storytelling awesome. Horror is a specialty, but really any theme is going to feel immersive.
