How MyLannyKinnz runs games

As a GM, I prioritize a fun and engaging experience over strict adherence to the rules. While I believe in the importance of realism for aspects like survival and resource management, I encourage players to embrace the "rule of cool" when it comes to combat and character actions. I love homebrewing and house rules, as long as they enhance the fun and excitement of the game. I strive to create a lighthearted atmosphere filled with laughter, epic moments, and dramatic roleplay. While my world is homebrew, it's fully compatible with 5e rules. I prefer milestone leveling to maintain a consistent pace and avoid grinding. To foster player creativity and avoid discouraging risky behavior, I try to avoid outright saying "no." Instead, I match their energy and find creative ways to incorporate their chaotic ideas into the narrative. I conduct a Session 0 to discuss boundaries and ensure everyone feels comfortable. I encourage PC romance and flirtations but prefer to "fade to black" in particularly steamy scenes. To foster player engagement, I provide backstory prompts and offer opportunities for impromptu roleplay during downtime. When it comes to resolving in-game conflicts, I rely on the dice to determine outcomes. For above-table disagreements, I prefer to address them privately with the involved players to find a mutually agreeable solution. I'm always open to feedback and suggestions from my players. If it becomes clear that someone isn't having fun, I'm willing to make adjustments to the narrative or introduce new elements to keep things engaging for everyone.
