About me

Hello, gamers! I've been a GM for various long-running campaigns over the past 25 years or so. I primarily run non-d20 games so if you want to expand your horizons, I'm the guy. That being said if you want a custom game and are willing to give me prep time, I can run anything for you. Systems I've run in the past or currently: Deadlands Classic (primarily Hell on Earth) Savage Worlds (East Texas University, Savage Cyberpunk, Savage Shadowrun, Deadlands Reloaded, Zombie Run, Savage Fallout, Savage XCOM,) Call of Cthulhu (primarily Delta Green) Shadowrun (3rd/4th edition with a lot of homebrew rules) Cyberpunk (My own version using the RED timeline but Savage Worlds for the system) Battletech RPG (using Powered by the Apocalypse) Vampire the Masquerade I consider myself to be a horror GM, but I also really enjoy near future, modern, sci-fi, and dystopia games. I try to give the players Hope even if the setting is bleak. A majority of the games I run are monster hunting or investigation with a heavy emphasis on roleplaying and character arcs. A few things up front: I use Discord for voice/text and roll20 for maps so for my games you'll need accounts (they are free) on both. Campaign Rules (I also go over these in my Session Zero orientation) 1) Don't be a jerk! Our games are a team of individuals thrown together to solve a situation. I realize that we are strangers to each other, but one person hogging the spotlight, cheating or trying to kill everything without consequences is being a jerk! Don't do that. This applies to me as well. I don't compete as a GM, I don't use GMNPCs, and no one has plot armor. My role is to provide a framework and interesting backdrop to YOUR story. 2) You are a Hero Even if you are playing a cold, emotionless, scarred veteran of the wars, ultimately you are one of the 'Good Guys'. Actions have consequences and reprecussions in the game world. If you play one of my Cyberpunk/Shadowrun games, you might not be a hero but you are a professional. :) 3) You are on a Team You don't have to like everyone on your team, but you do have to work together to survive and prosper. Lone wolves tend to die quickly in my games and unless you have REALLY, REALLY Good Reasons, betraying your party will probably wind up with you out in the cold. 4) You are not Murderhobos In every setting I run, there are laws and regulations which if you break them, you can get incarcerated or worse. Every NPC has someone who cares about them. Anything you choose to do to an NPC can be done to your character. If you acquire a reputation for being murderous swine, you will find it much harder to proceed. 5) Share and Share alike. You don't have to give up your loot, but unless you are providing your own transportation, skills, and security while you sleep, you are being a greedy jerk. See Rule #1 6) Have Fun. We are here to have a great time telling a collaborative story. If you have issues with someone's OOC behavior, I can and will police my games. 7) While I am very good at GMing, I can also make mistakes. If you have issues with a ruling, let me know after the session. I'm not unreasonable but the middle of combat is not the place for those discussions 8) Safety. I will use any and all safety methods the party agrees on. While my games are PG-13/R, any sexual assault will get you yeeted immediately. This is a safe space for everyone and I'm all inclusive. LBGTQ+, BIPOC, Happy gaming!

GM Style

GM Style I'm less about rolling dice and mechanics and more about the story and the action. I love detailed descriptions and dramatic scenes with big gestures. I am the GM that will let you attempt anything (within reason and the rules above). I also use a reroll mechanic in every game I run. These rerolls can be used at any time because nothing is worse than lousy dice. You start with a free one and can earn additonal rerolls through good team work, good roleplay and being funny/charming. My goal is that you get your money's worth and have an amazing time.
