About me

I'm an experienced Powered by the Apocalypse MC, running games for multiple conventions and stores throughout the Utah Wasatch Front (hopefully soon the great state of Washington), Big Bad Con, and numerous online venues and platforms, including Magpie Games, Comic-Con@Home, Extra Life, SaltCon-Online, Twitch AP's, and more! If it's a Powered by the Apocalypse game, I likely have it, and if I don't, I will soon enough. I make full use of common safety tools like X-card, Lines & Veils, Pause/Script, and Open Door Policies. The best part of the PbtA system is the great stories that we all get to build together. By extension, I also have some experience with Belonging Outside Belonging games. I have also run games like Ten Candles, Star Trek Adventures, Alas Vegas, Kids on Bikes, and more.

GM Style

The nature of Powered by the Apocalypse means that much of the fiction is developed by the players and is narrative forward. Which is great because that just leaves me to weave it all together into a cohesive story! Sometimes a lot harder than I think. Depending on the genre and book, some games can be crunchier than others. It really depends on the game. I prefer the less crunchy books, but it all comes down to the players and we work together to develop the story. I personally am more of a One-Shot GM and am less prone to longer campaigns. If you're looking to purchase a game but are on the fence about it, reach out! I'll run you through a session. If it's a PbtA game I don't have, I'll likely be buying it anyway. I'm also available for PbtA GM/Game consultation. I know one of the hardest things at first was figuring out how to run/play the games. Sometimes all that's needed is an ear and a quick run through of the mechanics.
