About me
Well met! I'm Mont; a Gamemaster, a Player, a man with a preoccupation with Napoleonic Warfare, and I'm here today to try and sell you a game. Nay! AN EXPERIENCE! That's a little rambunctious. Really, I'm here to run some games, make some people laugh, maybe get a couple to curse some old gods and overall have a grand old time. My Expertise: My expertise is centered on OSR games, a subgenre that reveres the roots of role-playing, harking back to the classics that forged the very foundation of our beloved hobby. Within this niche, I am well-versed in the intricacies of games such as Labyrinth Lord, Swords & Wizardry, and others, delivering an authentic old-school experience that embodies challenge, exploration, and emergent storytelling. My Style: As a Gamemaster, I embrace the ethos of OSR gaming, which encourages player ingenuity, resourcefulness, and a sense of wonder. My storytelling style embodies the essence of these games, emphasizing player agency, deadly dungeons, and creative problem-solving. I gonna give you the ball and watch you work. What I Offer: Meticulously designed OSR adventures steeped in nostalgia and rich, challenging lore. A gaming environment that captures the essence of the old school, promoting creativity and strategic thinking. A commitment to the core principles of OSR gaming, such as player skill, risk-reward, and exploration. Tailored adventures, whether you seek a one-shot delve into the unknown or an extended campaign of timeless adventure. Join My Adventure: If you yearn for an authentic journey reminiscent of the golden age of role-playing games or are in search of a Gamemaster who can navigate the intricate landscape of OSR adventures, your quest concludes here. New adventurers are always welcome, whether you're a solo traveler, a band of companions, or just curious about the timeless appeal of OSR gaming. Reach out to me without delay, and together, we shall let the dice weave tales of triumph and valor.
GM Style
So I'm a big fan of interactive narrative. If you can figure something out without needing rolls, and you just play it out; I'm very likely gonna give it to you. I like giving players a problem or task, mostly at face value, and seeing how they overcome it. That's my favorite part of TTRPGs. I've never not been surprised and what makes this hobby just so good.
