About me

Hello! We're a DM-for-hire service based out of Cape Town, South Africa. We're founded on a simple idea: role-playing games are good for you. Whether you're a kid, an adult or a company, RPGs will help you grow and develop. At The Guild, we want to help you do that. We run roleplay-heavy, character-driven games using Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition Vampire the Masquerade, LANCER, Call of Cthulhu, DIE, Monsterhearts and others.

GM Style

Our games focus on roleplay, deep character-driven stories and making our players feel like heroes. We like to tell stories ranging from dark and desolate to hopeful and funny, that allow our players and their characters to grow and change with all the pain and joy that entails. While each of our DMs are different, you can expect colourful NPCs, accents, voice acting, lots of flexibility and control in designing your own character and their place in the narrative, and meaningful, intense storytelling moments. All our games are queer-friendly, anti-racist and anti-colonial in mindset.
