About Nick
Hi everyone! My name is Nick (she/they) and I've been DMing 5E Dungeons and Dragons for about 8 years now. I feel passionate about introducing the hobby to new people and helping others feel included in the space. I run games that I would describe as PC-centric and humor forward on roll20. I have extensive experience running games for both new and veteran players and consider myself well equipped to improvise and adapt my campaigns to the whims and roleplaying choices of the people at my tables. Above all else my goal is to create fun memories through the medium of tabletop. Currently the module I am aiming to run is Storm King's Thunder, a Giant focused campaign that takes places in Faerun. I am also comfortable homebrewing settings and currently run both a "modern magic" and a steampunk campaign.

How Nick runs games
I consider myself a roleplay-oriented DM with a focus on player character development and integrating the heroes of the story into the world we build together. If you tell me your character was framed for a crime they didn't commit and ran out of their village, *obviously* we're going to end up revisiting your former home during the campaign to get to the bottom of the mystery. Combat is not an afterthought to me either - I enjoy it as one of the purest expressions of a character's "fantasy" and mechanics and believe it fills an important role in the type of settings I play in. While I do put time and effort into planning every individual session, I also always leave room for myself and my players to improvise. I pride myself on my ability to adapt a narrative quickly and am very flexible in the moment to decisions my players might make. It's not *my* story, it's *ours*.
