About me

Welcome, audacious adventurers! I'm Mike, and I'd love to be your guide on this quest to play some D&D. A while back, I wanted to play regularly, but I was having a hard time finding a DM, so I decided to do it myself -- and realized that I really enjoy creating situations for the party to overcome, and a world for you to explore as we create a story together. I hope you'll join me!

GM Style

I try to create a world where you can launch yourself in any direction, and find something interesting -- while still giving you plot hooks that invite you towards an exciting story. Whether social, stealth, or just "going loud" there's almost always options -- and I love seeing players create fun and unique solutions, reflecting their character's backstory and abilities. But be warned: the world is not necessarily "balanced" for your party, and sticking your nose where it doesn't belong can be deadly -- this game has high stakes. I like tactical combat, and I enjoy setting up encounters with fun environmental effects, homebrew monsters and gear. New players are always welcome. You can learn on the fly (honestly, we are all learning on the fly anyways, even after years of playing) or feel free to hire me for a one-shot where we'll go from character creation through a short adventure that teaches you the basics -- and lets you test drive your character.
