Hi! My name is Miguel, and I’ve been a Dungeon Master/Game Master since August of 2021. I got into TTRPGs, more specifically, Dungeons & Dragons, due to shows like Critical Role and Dimension 20, and since then, I’ve been addicted. When I started, no one around me knew how to play D&D — they were interested, but they weren’t committed enough to learn. So, in wanting to let them experience the game, I took initiative, picked up the Fifth Edition Player’s Handbook, started learning how to be a DM, and got to where I am now.

GM Style

When it comes to my own homebrew campaigns, I like having a more role-play focused game, about 70/30 role-play to combat. It is story-based, and the choices that the party make affect where they end up. Gritty realism is also present in my games, in the sense that, you can’t just do whatever you want without thinking about the consequences of your actions. I have a few homebrew house rules that’ll be added to our games but it will not be too divergent from the core rules. I am open to any type of homebrew from players, as long as it is made known to me and is approved before sessions.
