GM Style

Message me on Discord @ midnightbrewer for the fastest response times. I am not an adversarial DM. I will offer suggestions, give hints or general advice. I like teaching new players the game, and I also enjoy challenging players who are veterans of the game. I like to have a good mix of roleplay and combat, and allow the players to have an affect on how much of each. My stories tend to keep you guessing at what's to come, will play upon assumptions, and keep you engaged with what is currently happening. I like to have the players laugh, be curious, be happy, be frustrated, be surprised, be vexed, and be amused. I'm fairly chill, and flexible. Players doing something I didn't expect is pretty expected and a great opportunity to turn the course of the story. Missing a session from time to time is also expected. Life comes first. I typically run a unique world I've been building since 1999. There are intentional "blank spaces" things like town names, unique locations and histories that the players fill in with their backgrounds. Players will also create there own historical lore as they complete each campaign. Each campaign also has it's own mystery to be solved. The first 9 campaigns come in 3 trilogies. The trilogies can be played in any order. The final trilogy is available after those have been completed. Players will have to travel the wilds and medival towns, industrial revoultionary cities, near dystopian future as well travel among the stars in an interstellar struggle to survive a demigods apocolyptic ambitions to achieve full godhood. Then when all is settled, you, the chosen, will be summoned back to the world of Dar 'Tyr to unfamiliar lands. Here you will undertake the ultimate journey to solve the final mystery, challenge the gods themselves and rewrite the fate of the world.
