About GM mega
A: I'm a thirty-something man from the Baltics. I've been a huge RPG nerd for, dang, almost two decades now. Iโm not a professional actor, improv guru or a celebrity GM, but I run a pretty good home game! A: It would be nice to be able to justify spending more time on tabletop RPGs by paying my bills with it. A: I really enjoy running prewritten campaigns. It gives me a foundation to work off and lets the players know what to expect from a GM they havenโt played with before. So Iโll be running various published modules for 5e, Call of Cthulhu, OSR, Pathfinder 2e, etc. It's one of those things where I've been 'mega' online for so long, it just feels weird when people call me anything else, y'know?

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
GURPS, because I could use the big pile of sourcebooks to build myself shelter, D&D 4E, because sooner or later someone will arrive to argue with me about it and Call of Cthulhu, because it's a time-honored veteran that has a large library of well written modules.
How GM mega runs games
It's a little weird and awkward trying to convince someone that yes, you are good at something and not bad at it, but rest assured, I RPG real good and I donโt RPG bad. All things you think good RPG? I do. All thing bad RPG? Big no-no for me. Roleplay? Having 'fun'? Being cordial and professional? Dropping a player into a churning piranha tank because they made eye contact with me? I'd ๐ฃ๐๐ซ๐๐ง. I run games without webcams. I just use Discord audio + VTT (Roll20 or Foundry, depending on the system). I usually save the music for climactic moments and silly gags - I am too busy GMing to also be the DJ and, just between you and me, when I'm a player in a game where the GM uses music I end up muting the music anyway. I enjoy teaching games to players. I have a long-running group where we try out new systems every few weeks, so we all got pretty good at it. Doing funny voices and accents is fun! My games are Terrible Voices Safe Zone. Iโm fairly lenient about re-building your character or changing to a new one if the current character is not working for you. I'm rooting for you to win, but I won't pull punches. I try to aim for 5 players in a group. More is crowded, less becomes a problem when someone skips a week.
