About me

I've been a DM since before they published AD&D (that's advanced dungeons and dragons for you youngsters) and an avid board game player all my life. For D&D I create my own interconnected dungeons/adventures and run them in 5E for thoroughly modern meeples or in AD&D for those looking for the OG experience. I will also offer some rarer RPG experiences built on other game systems in the coming months. My goal as a DM is to serve up a tasty combination of fun, story, and grand adventure with a surprise or two along the way. If you prefer board games to tabletop RPGs, I am available for “play to learn” sessions in Settlers of Catan, Cities and Knights (advanced Settlers of Catan), Starfarers of Catan, Dune: Imperium, War of the Ring, Xia, and Netrunner.

GM Style

I create rich and complex original adventures with a lot of murky details and unclear NPC motivations. Combat is a big part of the game, but so is using your brain, and sometimes taking a stab in the dark. I support players who really commit to being their characters and can nurture those who are just learning how to be someone else. I enthusiastically give each NPC a different character and voice, but have not training as an actor so the results are often quite amusing. I run my games focused on fun and laughs, with the occasional moment of terror.
