About Lykos
Hello and thank you for your interest in me as a GM. I love playing games and in my opinion, TTRPGs are the best kind of games. There are so many facets to them and many ways to make them fun. I started by learning D&D and I'm starting to get more into Daggerheart and hope to try out a few other systems as I go. I have enjoyed playing TTRPGs, but what I love most is teaching new people how to play. My goal as a DM is to create a challenging yet fun experience that will be rewarding to everyone at the table. So if you’re ready to learn or you’re a seasoned veteran that just wants to have fun, come along and lets roll some dice!

I became a GM because
I love teaching the game to new players and telling stories.
I got started GMing...
After learning D&D I knew immediately that I wanted to GM. I eventually became brave enough to just put myself out there and try it out. It was both nerve-wracking and thrilling. I loved it from the start. My hope is that I can inspire other's to take the leap so they can tell stories of their own.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Either I'm working, preparing for the next session, playing video games, or thinking up new stories for new campaigns or one-shots.
How Lykos runs games
I usually try to find a balance between roleplay, exploration, and combat. I realize that some players might have more fun with one than the others, but I try to make sure everyone at the table gets their chance to shine. I also try to make my games as immersive as possible. I find that it's easier to roleplay if you feel connected to the game. To that end I try my best to voice my NPCs (I'm no voice actor but I certainly try my best) and I also like to have background music to set the tone and mood. But overall, if I can create a fun and safe environment for everyone at my table, I call that a win for everyone. In the end, this is a game we are playing so it's all about having fun. As long as my players are having fun, then so am I.

My games focus on...
I mostly try to focus on roleplay. I understand some people aren't always comfortable with it, even I used to shy away from it, but I hope to create a safe atmosphere for everyone and encourage it as much as possible to help people become more confident with it. Everything else will come naturally.
Rules are...
Rules are great for keeping things orderly but I as a GM understand that they shouldn't be rigidly followed. I am a firm believer in the "Rule of Cool". If something makes sense and is great for the narrative, I will allow it. I encourage it, even.
Lykos's ideal table
My ideal table is one where everyone is having fun and feels welcome. Great roleplay will come naturally from that and everyone will hopefully be comfortable enough to let loose and just vibe with each other. Being respectful and understanding goes without saying. When everything falls into place it can make for some truly great sessions.
